Weekend Wrap-Up: Happy Birthday to Hubby!

Hey guys!

Hubby is actually celebrating his birthday today, but we got started with the party on Friday evening.  Here's what we did:

Hubby wanted to go to dinner at a German restaurant inside a quaint hotel not far from his work.  He gets done for the day at four pm, so we wound up waiting around until five for the restaurant to open for dinner.

The hotel is located in one of the oldest parts of town, right across a cobblestone courtyard from the Town Hall.  Isn't it picture perfect?

I had red wine with a baked feta dish.  It came with "Mediterranean" vegetables (mostly peppers and pea pods) and baguette and was drizzled with balsamic vinegar and chives.  Hubby had some sort of pork dish with mushroom sauce.

Hubby had a Fanta since he was driving to Frankfurt that night.  I got a giggle out of his Coca-Cola glass- note that it says Trink Coca-Cola, not drink.  It's mind-boggling how international some companies are!

Hubby spend the weekend in Frankfurt with a friend at a big auto show.  He was super excited to go and it sounds like they had a blast!

While he was gone, I made spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for his co-workers.  In Germany, its customary for the birthday boy or girl to provide goodies for the office, not the other way around.

I also made sure that he had a surprise to come home to: chocolate cake with fudge frosting and a little gift (chocolate, a phone case, and a t-shirt for his college team).

Last night he also got a special dinner: zucchini Parmesan, since he loves Italian food.

Happy birthday to a wonderful husband.  I love you and I'm so proud of everything that you've accomplished in the last year.

What did you do this weekend?

Stay stylish!

XOXO- Amy
