Greek Food

Hey guys,

Tonight we had dinner in town at a new restaurant. Last week we tried Italian and this week we kept up the non-German food streak with Greek. The restaurant had an amazing courtyard in back hemmed in on three sides by an ancient barn.

I took pictures of my food, but for some reason my  phone did not save them.   Here's the only food shot I got:

Weekend Trip

Hey guys!

Now that we are firmly established in Germany, Hubby and I are making sure we live up to one of the agreements we made before we came here: to enjoy the experience to the fullest!  Our goal is so travel each weekend. This past weekend, we kept it kind of close to home, since we were pretty tired from unpacking. Located about 20 minutes away (in the opposite direction of Hubby's work) is the closest big(ger) city to where we are living.

Pizza Party

Hey guys!

So since we have moved to a new town, Hubby and I are trying out the handful of restaurants that we can find. He's pretty busy during the week, so our goal is to try a new one each Friday night. Here's our first one.

We went to the only Italian place in town last Friday. There are also two German restaurants (not surprising!), a Greek place, and a hotel that serves Austrian food. I have NO idea what the difference between German and Austrian food is, but I'm looking forward to finding out!

Germany House!

Hey guys,

We have officially moved in!  Hubby picked out the rental house before I got here. We moved in last Monday, which was especially nice because the dogs were getting pretty restless in Hubby's temporary quarters (a small space that was a lot like a long-term hotel.)  Our stuff was delivered on Wednesday.  It was both strange and magical to get back everything we had both done without for three months!  I've spent the last few days unpacking boxes and organizing shrunks (German wardrobes that stand in for closets here).  Here is how the house is shaping up:
