I haven't done one of these in ages. One of the things about being overseas is that we put a LOT of stuff in storage back home, including photo albums. So I find myself struggling a bit because I'm lacking a lot of older pictures. So, instead of a baby picture or an adorable childhood story, here's a throwback to the time that we spent our anniversary in Disneyland!
We spent several days checking out Disneyland and California Adventures. The back story is that we went for our honeymoon, only we both were incredibly sick. If you don't remember, I had what we initially thought was terrible food poisoning the day before the wedding. Both Hubby and my mom were sick the day after so it was probably some sort of virus. Hubby had planned the entire honeymoon as a surprise with his mom's help, including non-refundable tickets. So we went even though we were both sick and tried to make the best of it. So it was loads of fun to come back and try it again five years later when we were both healthy!
These pictures were taken a little more than three years ago. Since they were taken I've lost about 30 pounds. I can really see a difference in my face from then to now! It's actually pretty exciting.
We had one of those chalk portraits done in New Orleans Square.
We had dinner at the Blue Bayou one night. It's that restaurant you see up above you at the start of the Pirates of the Caribbean ride and is lots of fun. I highly recommend a reservation if you go. Some people wait for hours to get in!
We even had a fancy dinner at the Napa Rose restaurant in one of the Disneyland hotels. They were so sweet when they found out it was our anniversary.
All in all, it was a perfect do-over. :)
